Survival Writing

This term we are off to camp. Leading up to this we are thinking about safety and survival. We have been keeping a creative diary based on this idea.

Here is the challenge...

The challenge:
You have to spend 5 nights alone in an isolated army training compound in the Tasmanian Highlands. You are taken there by helicopter on Sunday afternoon, left completely alone and not be picked up until Friday morning.

It is July.

You are given before you go: clothing, a plan of the place, a list of the things you will find there and an empty backpack.

Each day we are given a 'chance card'. This card reveals some problem that we encounter. We have to consider how we will face the problem and keep track of what we did each day in our diary.

Check out some of the awesome writing that we have been doing.

Enjoying the sunshine!

Room One step outside to have some run, running around playing team games and enjoying the sunshine.

Inquiry Learning

Angus and Caden have been busy using their notes and developing their presentation for their Art Inquiry.

Learning with ipads

Here Paige and Shakyra are using the ipads to research their key question, "What is Art?". They found some very inspirational quotes to help them answer their question.

Art, Art, Art.

This term we are carrying out an inquiry called Our Place - Our Art. We are following the Action Learning Process to learn more about Art from Northland and New Zealand. These are some of the tapa that we have created in class using pastel, vivid and dye.
