Survival Writing

This term we are off to camp. Leading up to this we are thinking about safety and survival. We have been keeping a creative diary based on this idea.

Here is the challenge...

The challenge:
You have to spend 5 nights alone in an isolated army training compound in the Tasmanian Highlands. You are taken there by helicopter on Sunday afternoon, left completely alone and not be picked up until Friday morning.

It is July.

You are given before you go: clothing, a plan of the place, a list of the things you will find there and an empty backpack.

Each day we are given a 'chance card'. This card reveals some problem that we encounter. We have to consider how we will face the problem and keep track of what we did each day in our diary.

Check out some of the awesome writing that we have been doing.

  1. Hi Miriam, hopefully you might see this? I am wondering if you have a copy of the chance cards that you need for this. I have the activity, but cannot find the chance cards anywhere... Thanks so much. Let me know if you do, and I will pass my email address on. Would be greatly appreciated.
